Dr. Kelly is an Orthodontic & Dentofacial Orthopedics Specialist. She attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City for both her dental school doctorate & specialty residency for orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She has been practicing orthodontics for over 20 years, including successful Invisalign & Spark aligner treatment, early Phase 1 orthopedics, and orthognathic surgery during that time. With her Invisalign & Clear Aligner experience and expertise, she has successfully treated every type of orthodontic case for a range of patient ages from simple to complex using clear aligners. In addition, Dr. Kelly has been consulting to assist other doctors with Invisalign & clear aligners for 15 years. Over the past 2 years, she has focused on studying how to treat the orthodontic & dentofacial contributions to enhance a healthy airway for patients of all ages. She continues to be a creative inventor in the industry developing the first virtual training program for clear aligner therapy in 2009 and a software design for clear aligner therapy practice integration in 2016. She has a patented nightguard retainer that she perfected and researched clinically over a decade which followed her published research. Currently, she is designing a nightguard appliance with an airway focused benefit and conducting a clinical study on the effects of controlled orthodontics on airway volume--stay tuned!
Dr. Kelly is passionate about the art and science of the orthodontic specialty, the contribution to holistic wellness, and the smiles that change people’s lives. She truly enjoys being a SMILE Doctor!
Outside of studioSMILE, Dr. Kelly enjoys spending time with her teenage son, friends & family, doing yoga & ballet, modeling, exploring local restaurants & boutiques, doing interior design in her home, getting silly on TikTok, and traveling the world.
