treatment process

1. Set Up a Complimentary Consultation with Dr. Tabacchi

Dr. Tabacchi has over a decade of experience treating patients for every single orthodontic case with Invisalign. To begin your treatment, you will need to schedule a complimentary consultation with her to evaluate your smile. She will not only examine your teeth, but provide you with information about the treatment, costs, insurance, and any questions you might have can be answered. She will also give you an idea of how long the treatment will take as well as what the results will look like.

2. Your Customized Plan is Created

To create your customized plan, Dr. Kelly will take 3D Imaging, pictures and impressions of your teeth to send off to the Invisalign. Dr. Kelly will map out your customized plan based on the images and 3D Imaging and send it off with your images, x-rays and impressions. This will include the precise movements of your teeth during the treatment process. This is where you will see what teeth will look like once the treatment is completed. Invisalign will manufacture your aligners once Dr. Kelly is finished treatment planning your 3D Model.

3. Receive Your Aligners

You will receive your aligners from Dr. Kelly as soon as Invisalign manufactures and sends Dr. Kelly your aligners.  You will begin your treatment by wearing them for 22 hours a day. The aligners are made of a clear BPA free plastic that is comfortable to wear. They seldom irritate your cheeks or gums like traditional metal braces. You will need to remove them for eating, brushing and flossing your teeth, as well as rinse and clean them periodically throughout the day. The clear aligners will gently and gradually move your teeth into place and appear to be virtually invisible.

4. Start a New Aligner Every Two Weeks

Depending on your personalized plan, you will generally need to change your aligners every two weeks. Each new aligner gradually pushes and pulls your teeth into their desired spot as directed by Dr. Kelly. During your treatment, you will have checkups at studioSMILE Orthodontics about every 8-12 weeks to assess your progress. Your aligners should be worn for 22 hours a day for best results. During your treatment, you will notice the slight movement of your teeth with each aligner set worn.

5. Keep Your Smile Looking Great

Once your treatment is completed, you will have a brand new smile! Now is when you will need to think about keeping it that way. To keep your teeth and bite in place, you will wear retainers nightly.  Dr. Kelly wants to protect your investment, retainers do just that for life.
